Why won't my grocery coupons print?
If you're experiencing problems printing coupons there may be a few reasons:
1. You don't have a printer or your printer isn't turned on.
You must have a printer - and it must be turned on, loaded with paper, and have enough toner, etc. - in order for coupons to print. If your printer is a multi-function device (print, fax, copy, scan) please make sure the default printer is the print function, not the fax function.
2. You may not have permission to download programs on your computer or you are using software that blocks the installation.
If you are trying to print coupons at work or from a computer at a library, Internet cafe or university, you may not have permission to download and install programs onto the computer you are using. This may be true even if you've downloaded and installed other files. Contact your network administrator for more information. If you have a home computer, you may find it easier to access our coupons there.
You might also be running software that prevents installation on your computer. Please make sure to turn off any anti-virus software or any anti-spyware or adware software. While we have attempted to work with most of the major publishers of such software to ensure that our Coupon Printer is not blocked, there may be programs that block the installation, or put up a warning that you are about to install a program. You should choose to allow the installation.
3. The security settings in your browser are set too high.
If you receive warnings or errors that an attempt to install and ActiveX control (Internet Explorer) or a plugin was blocked, or are asked for permission to install a program, you may need to change your browser's security settings to allow installation of these types of controls. Also, make sure to click the appropriate buttons in any dialog boxes that appear to allow the installation. Modern browsers make you jump through a few hoops to install plugins, but it's worth it!
4. Your browser or operating system is incompatible.
Our coupon printing technology may not work with older browsers. Coupon printing is supported on Windows Operating Systems 2000, XP, and Vista when used with FireFox 2.0+, and Internet Explorer 6+. Coupon printing is also supported on Macintosh on Macs running OSX 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard), and using Apple's Safari 2.0+ browser. For users experiencing issues printing coupons with AOL's web browser, we recommend using Mozilla Firefox instead.
5. Your Internet Cookies have become Corrupted.
Extended online browsing may cause your temporary cookie files to corrupt and prevent you from printing coupons. For instructions on how to clear all cookies on your computer click here.
6. If you are still experiencing issues you can contact us directly.

specific code or password on the retailers web site to get the discount. If
this is the case, specific instructions are included on the coupon.
2. Printable Coupon - These coupons are printed out and taken in to a
physical store (i.e. Burger King). Printable coupons are redeemed by

Why do some coupons seem to disappear after I use them?
Some CouponSurfer.com coupons are limited in the number of times they can be downloaded by each individual. If you have already downloaded the coupon the maximum number of times, it will no longer be available for additional downloads. Coupons that are limited have specific instructions letting you know the maximum number of times you can redeem them.
Why is my supermarket not accepting grocery coupons printed from CouponSurfer?
There are very few stores with a corporate policy to turn down Internet coupons:
- A&P Food Emporium
- Brooks Pharmacy
- Duane Reade
- Food Town
- Giant Eagle
- King Kullen
- Kmart
- Reasons
- Shopper Food
- Stater Brothers
If you are encountering another store that will not take the coupons, it is likely due to the individual
store manager's decision. We recommend that you fill out an in-store complaint as they are preventing
you from saving money.
You may also click here to print out a letter to give to
the store manager that explains why they should accept these coupons.

More information about using grocery coupons
You know the saying that if it sounds too good to be true, it is? Well, it's true. Here are a few rules about how coupons work. Some are obvious, a few are less well known:
1. You can't photocopy coupons.
2. You can't scan coupons back into your computer to make copies (such as PDFs)
3. You can't alter or remove any of the language or codes on a coupon.
4. You can't give your coupons to anyone else. Many people don't understand this. The "not transferable" language printed on grocery coupons means that it is not legal to give your coupons to anyone else. This makes buying and selling coupons through auction sites, such as eBay, illegal. You can't get around the rule by saying that you're selling your time instead of the coupons for auctions (some people are very creative, but still wrong!)
5. You can't invent your own coupons and pretend they're real.
SmartSource, our partner in savings, is the largest supplier of grocery coupons in the country. They're the company that puts coupons in your Sunday paper, coupons at shelf in stores (the machines with the red blinking lights) and for the last few years, supplying coupons on the Internet. They put them in so many locations so they're easy to access for free!
